The HSC 171 Professional Headset with Condenser Microphone from AKG is used for recording, intercom, ENG / EFP, and video production.
The HSC 171 professional closed, on-ear studio headset provides high noise insulation, which makes it well-suited for use in loud environments. The headset combines the K171 MKII studio headphones with a high-performance condenser microphone. The flexible microphone arm swivels through a 270° arc and mutes the microphone automatically as it is moved up. The microphone can be mounted to the left or right side, depending on personal preference and available space.
The HSC 171 headset features a switch in the headband that mutes the audio just as soon as the headphones are taken off. The professional 6-pin mini XLR connector allows quick replacement of the cable. If a cable should become defective under the enormous stress of day-to-day broadcast work, it can be replaced quickly and without any tools. The headset is not supplied with a connecting cable (sold separately).
