Doepfer A-140-3v Micro ADSR Vintage Edition
The Doepfer A-140-3v is the Vintage Edition of the compact A-140-3 Micro ADSR, providing a complete voltage-controlled ADSR envelope generator with exponential envelope curves in just 4 HP.
Dedicated Attack, Decay, Sustain, and Release controls provide traditional hands-on envelope shaping. Attack, Decay, and Release times cover an extensive range of approximately 1 ms to 30 seconds, supporting everything from fast percussive envelopes to long evolving modulation shapes.
In addition to its Gate input, the A-140-3v includes a dedicated Retrigger input for restarting the envelope while a Gate remains active. Both Gate and Retrigger inputs require signals of approximately +5V to +12V.
A dedicated CVT input with attenuator provides voltage control over envelope timing. Internal jumpers determine which time parameters respond to the CVT input, allowing configurations such as Decay only, Decay and Release, or simultaneous control of Attack, Decay, and Release.
The CVT socket can also be internally normalized to a fixed positive voltage. In this configuration, the CVT control can act as a global time control, allowing multiple envelope stages to be shortened or extended simultaneously without an external CV source.
Two envelope outputs are provided. Output 1 always supplies the standard envelope, while Output 2 can be internally configured to provide either the standard or inverted envelope.
The envelope output range is approximately 0 to +10V, with +10V corresponding to the Attack peak. An LED provides visual feedback of the envelope signal.
