Subdecay M3000 Guitar and Bass Synthesizer.
The Subdecay M3000 is a powerful reinvention of the guitar and bass synthesizer, combining a classic 1970s three-oscillator synth architecture with modern performance, tracking, and control. Built as the successor to the original M3, the M3000 delivers dramatically improved tracking and responsiveness, making it feel as immediate and natural as a fuzz or overdriven amp—while offering the depth of a true synthesizer.
Designed to keep players connected to their instrument, the M3000 adapts seamlessly to both guitar and bass, offering instant inspiration in EZ mode and deep sound design through advanced editing and MIDI control.

Functions as a traditional MIDI-controlled synth
EZ Mode – Instant Inspiration
EZ Mode keeps things simple without sacrificing depth. The SELECT knob cycles through 11 carefully voiced starting points that shape filters, envelopes, and modulation. PARAM 2 and PARAM 3 provide immediate hands-on tweaks, while PARAM scrolls through 32 oscillator variations—ranging from classic waveforms to thick chords and radical ring-modulated textures.
EZ Mode is perfect for players who want great sounds instantly, without touching a manual or diving into MIDI.
Deep Mode – Full Synth Control
For advanced users, Deep Mode unlocks the full power of the M3000’s synthesis engine. Every element—oscillators, envelopes, filters, and modulation—can be shaped in detail and saved as presets, recallable via the SELECT knob or MIDI.
Expressive Envelopes
The M3000 uses dynamic, touch-responsive envelopes designed specifically for guitar and bass. Separate envelopes control the filters and VCA, with a third envelope available for oscillator modulation. This hybrid approach combines ADSR-style control with the natural feel of an envelope follower, responding clearly to palm mutes, slides, and picking dynamics.
Dual Filter Engine
Inspired by the iconic MS-20, the M3000 features:
-
Analog Low-Pass Filter for warm, musical sweeps
-
Digital High-Pass Filter modeled on the MS-20 for aggressive resonance and classic synth “scream”
Filters can be modulated via envelopes or LFOs for expressive, animated tones.
Three Oscillators, Deep Control
Each of the three independent oscillators offers:
-
13 waveform types, including classic MS-20 shapes, Alpha Juno–inspired waves, and sync options
-
5-octave tuning range
-
Warp control on 11 waveforms for harmonic shaping
-
Ring modulation for metallic and inharmonic textures
Oscillators can be independently pitched, leveled, warped, and routed to modulation sources, with the ability to overdrive the filters for aggressive sounds.
Advanced Modulation
-
MOD 1: Classic LFO shapes (Triangle, Sine, Pulse, Random) with variable duty cycle, routable to filters, pitch, or oscillator warp
-
MOD 2: A unique 3-phase LFO system for complex rhythmic modulation and arpeggiator-like motion
All modulation sources—including envelopes—can be freely routed for evolving, animated sounds.
MIDI Synth Capability
Connect a MIDI controller and use the M3000 as a standalone synthesizer. Bypassing the pedal instantly returns it to guitar or bass input mode, making it equally at home on pedalboards and in synth-based setups.
The Subdecay M3000 Guitar & Bass Synthesizer is a deep, expressive, and player-focused instrument—delivering classic synth character with modern control and performance feel, tailored specifically for string players.
