The Walrus Audio Fundamental Lo-Fi Delay transforms familiar echoes into shifting, imperfect textures. Its three distinct delay algorithms take you from bright, wow-and-flutter-soaked repeats to dark, heavily modulated clouds and rhythmic multi-tap echoes. With three simple faders and a three-way mode switch, it's easy to dial in everything from subtle movement and hazy ambience to hypnotic rhythmic patterns.
Designed as part of Walrus Audio's Fundamental Series, the Lo-Fi Delay combines professional-grade tonal integrity with a simplified control layout that's approachable for players of any experience level. Designed and assembled at Walrus Audio headquarters in Oklahoma City, it features buffered bypass, selectable trails, tap tempo, and up to one second of delay time.

Three Lo-Fi Delay Flavors
AM delivers bright, degraded echoes with high-frequency filtering, light harmonic distortion, and dual wow-and-flutter modulation. The repeats gradually thin and melt away, creating a hazy texture suited to dreamy leads, open chords, and atmospheric backdrops.
Murk takes things in the opposite direction with dark, dense repeats. Heavy distortion, high-frequency roll-off, and slow modulation create thick, undulating delay clouds that respond dynamically to your playing. Keep Feedback low for subtle movement or push it higher for swelling, pulsing textures.
Echo is built around rhythmic multi-tap repeats. Short delay times produce dense, lo-fi ambience somewhere between an echo and reverb, while longer settings create syncopated patterns and cascading trails that can add movement to riffs and grooves.
Simple Fundamental Controls
Three faders keep the interface straightforward. Time sets the distance between repeats, Feedback controls how many repeats are produced, and Mix determines the balance between your dry signal and the delay effect. The three-way switch provides instant access to the pedal's different delay characters.
Tap Tempo and Trails
Hold the bypass switch to enter Tap Mode, then use the switch to set the tempo of your repeats. The pedal supports quarter-note, dotted-eighth, and eighth-note tap divisions. Trails Mode is enabled by default, allowing repeats to fade naturally when the pedal is bypassed, while disabling it cuts the repeats immediately.
