McDSP 6030 Ultimate Compressor Native v7.
The 6030 Ultimate Compressor represents the next generation of dynamic range control technology from McDSP. Building on their extensive compression algorithm code base, the 6030 adds new sonic capabilities, stunning interfaces, and the unparalleled quality that McDSP is known for.
Utilizing the popular module format, the 6030 Ultimate Compressor features ten different compressors. These designs are either created from scratch by McDSP or emulations of existing gear with unique McDSP variations. Each module is designed to be user-friendly while offering the sophistication needed by professional audio engineers.
Whether you prefer smooth tube emulations or aggressive solid-state designs, the 6030 Ultimate Compressor has a custom dynamic range control module to suit your needs.
6030 Compressor Modules
U670
Based on the acclaimed Fairchild 670, the U670 features new attack ballistics to suit modern production styles. The ‘warmth’ factor has been tweaked, creating a unique version of this classic compressor.
Moo Tube
An all-tube design emulation with distinctive features. The Moo Tube module includes reworked midrange sensitivity, attack and recovery time ranges, and output frequency response characteristics.
iComp
This module features fixed attack and release times that adjust automatically based on the selected threshold and ratio control values. Ideal for tracks headed to iTunes.
Opto-C/Opto-L
These models use McDSP-designed key signal circuits for improved response and different release characteristics compared to the originals.
British-C
The British-C model offers standard compressor controls with added internal intelligence to prevent unwanted distortion, even at extreme compression settings—similar to high-end analog compressors from the UK.
Over EZ
Incorporating a smooth knee response with a flexible control configuration, the Over EZ module is versatile and useful in a variety of situations.
SST'76
A fast-reactive design, the SST’76 excels on drums and percussive sources. The solid-state (SST) circuit model includes a McDSP-designed key circuit for enhanced performance.
FRG444
Known as ‘The Frog,’ the FRG444 offers a moderately aggressive compression design for a more intense sound, particularly effective on big rock drum kits.
D357
The D357 is the most aggressive compressor in the 6030 collection. It features an LED-style gain reduction meter to display rapid dynamic range control changes.
