International Women’s Day Music Workshop with Airhaert
To celebrate International Women’s Day, join us at Moog Audio Montréal on Saturday, March 7 for a free music production and live performance workshop hosted by Montréal artist Airhaert.
The afternoon is designed as a relaxed, hands-on space to explore different approaches to music creation and live performance. Airhaert sets up four interactive stations where participants can experiment with sequencing, sampling, MIDI mapping, and sound design for this audio workshop.
Explore Music Production and Live Performance
Each station focuses on a different part of the live music-making process, giving participants the opportunity to try different workflows and discover how various pieces of gear can work together in a live setup.
The available equipment includes the Moog DFAM, Elektron Digitakt II, Akai APC40 MKII, Korg Monologue, Roland T-8, and more.
Whether you are already building live sets or are curious about getting started, the workshop is an opportunity to experiment with hardware, ask questions, and learn from others in the music community.
Meet Airhaert: Montreal Electronic Music Artist and Educator
Airhaert, the artist project of Jana Sokolova, is a Montreal-based electronic music artist, live performer, sound designer, recording engineer, and educator. Her practice brings together music production, hardware synthesizers, drum machines, Ableton Live, field recording, voice, and body-based creative awareness. Her sonic language moves between dancefloor and atmospheric realms, weaving mid-tempo structures, textured percussion, and spacious, trance-infused environments.
In this edition of Moog Audio’s Tea, Tech and Live Sets, Airhaert shares her approach to creating and performing a live electronic music set.
Beyond her artist practice, Jana is the founder of Air Bending Sound Academy (ABSA), a private 1:1 music production mentorship helping artists learn Ableton Live, develop their sound, and complete an original track. Through INNERBODY / Corps Intérieur, she brings menstrual cycle awareness and body-led creative practices into music-making.
A Relaxed Space to Create and Connect
The workshop is designed to be informal and welcoming. There is time to explore the stations, exchange ideas, and connect with other artists, producers, and music enthusiasts.
And yes, there will be tea!
Moog Audio will also have exclusive in-store deals available throughout the event.
