The Atomos AV-19M 19" Shogun Rackmount 4K HDR Monitor is a professional reference display designed for production studios, broadcast environments, OB trucks, and on-set monitoring. Its large 3840 x 2160 touchscreen combines a bright 1200 cd/m² display with extensive HDMI, SDI, and IP connectivity, making it suitable for cinema, live event, and multicamera workflows.
The AV-19M features a 19" capacitive touchscreen with support for DCI and UHD 4K video at up to 60p. The display can be configured for full-screen or quad-view monitoring, with quad-view supported through the monitor's NDI HX3 input. Its bright display provides clear monitoring in a variety of production environments, while built-in HDR and color management tools allow you to evaluate exposure, focus, framing, and color directly on the monitor.
Video connectivity includes one HDMI input and output as well as one 12G-SDI input and output. The SDI connections are backward compatible with 6G, 3G, and 1.5G-SDI standards, allowing the monitor to integrate with a wide range of professional video equipment. The hybrid onboard I/O and IP architecture also provides NDI HX3 connectivity through the Gigabit Ethernet port.
NDI HX3 allows the AV-19M to receive and output high-quality, low-latency network video while supporting up to four streams for quad-view monitoring. The monitor can also integrate into existing NDI networks and supports PTZ camera control, making it useful for live production and broadcast environments.
For HDR workflows, the AV-19M supports 10-bit HDR monitoring and can display SDR and HDR signals while providing real-time LUT previews. Log signals from compatible cameras can be viewed through a LUT that approximates the final graded image in Rec. 709. Custom .cube LUT files can be loaded and used alongside the monitor's built-in exposure and monitoring tools.
The AV-19M includes a comprehensive selection of monitoring tools for production and post-production. These include waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, false color, focus peaking, zebra, HDR exposure, frame guides, safe areas, markers, pixel magnification, anamorphic de-squeeze, and vertical flip. Downscaling to HD, cropping, and interlaced or PSF-to-progressive conversion are also supported.
Six user-definable function buttons on the front panel provide quick access to frequently used features. Monitoring tools, playback modes, LUTs, anamorphic de-squeeze, and other functions can be assigned for faster operation during production.
Designed for rack-mounted installations, the AV-19M has a 7 RU rackmount format with an included rackmount frame and mounting hardware. Dual 4-pin XLR power inputs provide redundant DC power and support battery-based configurations, while dual 3-pin XLR audio outputs and a front-mounted 3.5mm headphone output provide additional monitoring and connectivity options.
The monitor supports a wide range of professional camera gamma and gamut formats, including Sony S-Log, Canon C-Log, ARRI Log, Panasonic V-Log, RED Log, Fujifilm F-Log, Nikon N-Log, PQ, HLG, Rec. 709, DCI-P3, BT.2020, Sony S-Gamut, ARRI ALEXA Wide Gamut, and other manufacturer-specific color spaces.
