Atomos Sumo PRO-19 4K HDR Monitor-Recorder-Switcher.
The Atomos Sumo PRO-19 is a professional 19" HDR monitor, recorder, and switcher designed for demanding on-set, studio, and post-production workflows. Its large, bright, color-accurate display provides detailed monitoring of 4K and HDR video, while its recording, switching, camera control, and connectivity features allow it to serve as a central hub for multicamera productions.
The 19" LCD features a 3840 x 2160 resolution, 1200 cd/m² brightness, 10-bit processing, and up to 10 stops of dynamic range. HDR monitoring supports on-the-fly conversion from log signals to HDR, as well as PQ and HLG playback. Built-in monitoring tools include waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope, focus peaking, EL Zone false color, framing guides, zoom, and more. The display can also be calibrated using a separately available Calibrite Display Pro or Display Plus with the appropriate Atomos LANC cable.
For production workflows, the Sumo PRO-19 combines quad switching with ISO recording. It can switch between up to four SDI sources while simultaneously recording up to four ISO channels, along with the program output. Recording is supported at resolutions up to 8K30, making the Sumo PRO-19 suitable for multicamera productions and demanding video environments.
The unit provides extensive video connectivity, including HDMI 2.0 and SDI with Quad 3G, 6G, and 12G-SDI support. HDMI and SDI sources can be connected and converted in different combinations, while Genlock and LTC connections are available via BNC. HDMI 2.0 supports up to 8K input and output, and the monitor supports Atomos open protocol features for HDR automation and camera settings integration.
Recording can be handled using a CFexpress Type B card or external USB-C storage. The Sumo PRO-19 supports professional codecs including ProRes RAW and ProRes RAW HQ, 10-bit Apple ProRes, H.265, and DNxHR. High-speed media support is designed for sustained recording and rapid offloading into post-production or cloud workflows.
Network connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E, with support for NDI|HX3 for high-quality, low-latency network video monitoring. AirGlu wireless timecode support over Bluetooth and RF helps maintain synchronization between cameras on set. The Sumo PRO-19 is also compatible with the separately available Atomos TX transmission system for wireless video transmission.
Camera control is available directly from the touchscreen for supported cameras, providing access to functions such as start/stop, ISO, shutter, aperture, white balance, and touch-to-focus. Compatibility includes many Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic, and Sony mirrorless cameras.
For audio, the Sumo PRO-19 includes full-size XLR connections for balanced analog audio and microphone power. Dedicated audio meters and controls allow you to adjust gain and frame delay without requiring a separate audio recorder for supported workflows.
The Sumo PRO-19 also supports 3D LUT workflows, allowing LOG camera signals to be viewed through a real-time LUT preview. Custom .cube LUT files can be loaded from CFexpress media or USB-C storage and used alongside the monitor's exposure and analysis tools.
Built for professional production environments, the Sumo PRO-19 features a durable aluminum chassis with multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting points, a 100 x 100 VESA mount, and an included desktop stand. Six programmable front-panel buttons provide quick access to frequently used monitoring, playback, LUT, framing, and anamorphic desqueeze functions.
Power can be supplied through the included 4-pin XLR power supply. For mobile productions, separately available V-mount or Gold mount battery plates can be used with up to two batteries for field operation and redundant power.
