Death By Audio Moonbeam Phaser Destroyer Series.
The Moonbeam Phaser has landed. This fully analog, stereo multi-stage phaser lets you reshape your sound by choosing anywhere from one to six stages of phase shifting, giving you the perfect modulation for any situation. With its wide control range, you can move effortlessly from classic swirling motion to ultra-gooey bends, resonant filtered tremolos, and textures that feel like they’re beamed in from deep space.
At its core, Moonbeam houses two fully analog 6-stage phaser engines. Each stage has its own distinct movement and character, which you can both hear and see as the display morphs through a spectrum of colors that reflect the sound. The FREQ control goes far beyond typical phaser ranges, drifting into ultra-slow, evolving sweeps or blasting into ring-modulated, frequency-shifting chaos. Paired with the DEPTH control, Moonbeam opens up a huge palette of refracted phasing tones—from shimmering rotary-style warbles to deep, resonant, almost synth-like bends.
And because one phaser is never enough, Moonbeam packs dual phasers into a single pedal, letting you send guitar, bass, synths, drum machines, or whatever you dream up into mesmerizing stereo with a single stomp. As part of Death By Audio’s Destroyer Series, it features the signature compact footprint, glowing vintage-style LED display, and minimal controls that conceal an entire universe of sonic madness, all in a rugged, stage-ready enclosure.
Key Features
-
Six Phasers In One
Select between one and six phaser stages, each with a unique voice—from classic modulation to wild, otherworldly bends and harmonic motion.
-
Fully Analog Phaser Circuit
True analog phase shifting delivers rich, organic movement and extreme modulation that feels alive in a world full of digital effects.
-
True Stereo Modulation
TRS stereo input and output provide full stereo operation, expanding your sound from simple mono movement to massive panoramic motion.
-
Ultra-High Headroom
Handles hot signals from synths, drum machines, and boosted guitars without collapsing, retaining depth and clarity at all times.
-
Super-Slow to Hyper-Fast Sweeps
FREQ ranges from ultra-slow 0.006 Hz phase drifts (over 2 minutes per sweep) to lightning-fast 130 Hz movement heading into ring-mod-style territory.
-
Adjustable Depth Control
Fine-tune the intensity and character of the phasing, from subtle shimmer to full-on resonant, chewy sweeps.
-
Moving Light Indicator
Color-coded display shows the active stage and visually follows the LFO, letting you see the modulation as you hear it.
-
Pedalboard-Friendly, Tour-Grade Build
Compact enclosure with a massive sound, quality components, hand assembly, and rugged construction built to withstand heavy gigging.
Controls
-
PHASE SELECTOR – Chooses the number of phaser stages (1 to 6), each with a distinct voice:
-
1 (Red) – Sweeping high-pass filter and tremolo-like motion.
-
2 (Yellow) – Sweeping notch filter with resonant peaks on each side.
-
3 (Green) – Cross between a phaser and harmonic tremolo.
-
4 (Cyan) – Classic, instantly recognizable phaser sound.
-
5 (Blue) – Adds more intense resonance and treble focus to the 4-stage sound.
-
6 (Purple) – Full, bassy, chewy phaser tone with huge movement.
-
FREQ – Sets the speed of the phaser’s movement, from ultra-slow (0.006 Hz) drifting sweeps to ultra-fast 130 Hz modulation that borders on ring modulation.
-
DEPTH – Controls the intensity and resonance of the phasing, shaping how deep the sweep goes and how pronounced the effect feels—from light shimmer to deep, resonant filter sweeps.
Internal Control
Accessible by removing the back plate:
Inputs and Outputs
Moonbeam Phaser uses TRS stereo input and output and supports several routing modes:
-
Mono – TS cable for both input and output.
-
Mono to Stereo – TS input, TRS output (set the internal switch to Mono Input).
-
Stereo – TRS cable for both input and output (set the internal switch to Stereo Input).
