Doepfer A-155-3 1U Mini Analog Sequencer
The Doepfer A-155-3 is a feature-rich 8-step analog sequencer redesigned for the compact 1U modular format. It combines traditional hands-on analog CV sequencing with programmable gates, multiple playback directions, per-step ratcheting, sequence-length control, and preset storage.
Each of the eight steps features an individual CV control and illuminated multifunction button. The buttons enable or disable gates during normal operation and are also used for programming sequence length, playback direction, ratcheting, and presets.
Per-step ratcheting can be programmed at x2, x3, or x4. Playback modes include forward, reverse, doubled-step forward and reverse, pendulum variations, and random operation, providing a broad range of conventional and evolving sequencing patterns.
The CV output range can be switched between 0–1V, 0–2V, and 0–4V. Output voltage is unquantized, allowing the module to sequence pitch or virtually any voltage-controlled parameter. Eight presets store active steps, sequence length, and ratcheting configuration.
The sequencer requires an external clock and includes dedicated Clock and Reset inputs, CV and Gate outputs, and manual Start/Stop and Reset controls. Internal MIDI data can be routed to compatible MIDI-to-CV interfaces such as the A-190-7 when quantized CV operation is required.
