Carte PCI Express MADI 128 canaux 192 kHz
La HDSPe MADI est la carte PCI Express à la fois économique et exceptionnelle de RME avec interface MADI. La HDSPe MADI est basée sur la carte HDSP MADI primée, et représente le nouveau modèle haut de gamme de cette ligne de cartes au succès mondial.
La carte PCI Express utilise donc tous les avantages du format MADI, l'interface audio multicanal des professionnels, offrant 64 canaux audio 24 bits à une fréquence d'échantillonnage allant jusqu'à 48 kHz, 32 canaux jusqu'à 96 kHz et 16 canaux jusqu'à 192 kHz. La transmission se fait par une seule ligne, soit coaxiale avec des fiches BNC, soit par fibre optique. Dans les deux cas, il est possible d'obtenir une longueur de câble de plus de 100 m.
Par rapport au HDSP MADI (version PCI standard), la carte express offre de nouvelles fonctionnalités : Prise en charge de fréquences d'échantillonnage supérieures à 96 kHz, davantage de fonctions dans TotalMix (phase et bouclage interne par canal, gain de +6 dB pour les sorties matérielles), et prise en charge directe de l'option Time Code. La carte HDSPe MADI offre des latences encore plus faibles, ce qui en fait le partenaire idéal pour les applications d'enregistrement et de mixage en direct. La sortie analogique du moniteur est équipée de la technologie de conversion à faible latence de l'ADI-8 QS, garantissant ainsi des valeurs SNR et THD exceptionnelles.
Le HDSPe MADI est entièrement compatible avec tous les appareils dotés d'une interface MADI. En combinaison avec l'ADI-648, une interface PC optique 8 x ADAT est réalisée, imbattable en termes de prix et de performance. Avec l'ADI-6432, un frontal AES/EBU bidirectionnel de 64 canaux est disponible.
Sur un PC/Mac puissant, trois HDSPe MADI peuvent être utilisés en combinaison, fournissant simultanément 192 entrées et 192 sorties sur une seule station de travail.

Caractéristiques
HDSPe MADI offre une prise en charge complète des modes 56 et 64 canaux et de la technologie double et simple fil (trame 96k) pour 96 kHz. La prise en charge complète des 64 canaux est également assurée par le mélangeur matériel TotalMix. Les 64 entrées et 64 canaux de lecture peuvent être acheminés et mixés vers 64 sorties physiques de manière totalement libre, ce qui correspond à un mixeur de 8192 canaux. Avec cela, HDSPe MADI offre le routeur/mixeur le plus puissant jamais implémenté sur une carte PCI, et permet bien plus qu'une utilisation en tant qu'unité d'E/S informatique pure :

TotalMix peut être entièrement contrôlé à distance via MIDI. De plus, le matériel fournit des indicateurs de niveau RMS et peak pour un contrôle total sur 192 canaux audio avec une charge CPU minimale.
Alors que la plupart des appareils MADI nécessitent une horloge word clock ou une ligne AES supplémentaire, le Hammerfall DSP MADI (comme l'ADI-648) utilise SteadyClock(TM) pour extraire l'horloge de référence avec le moins de jitter possible directement à partir du signal MADI, ce qui rend les connexions longue distance encore plus pratiques. Comme d'habitude avec RME, le HDSPe MADI offre d'autres fonctions intéressantes. Par exemple, une sortie ligne/casque analogique 24 bits/96 kHz avec une plage dynamique de 116 dB pour un contrôle direct de tous les signaux d'entrée et de sortie.
La carte d'extension incluse comporte une entrée/sortie word clock (BNC) et une entrée/sortie MIDI. L'entrée word clock est isolée galvaniquement par un transformateur et fonctionne automatiquement sur des signaux à simple ou double vitesse. L'E/S MIDI offre deux entrées et sorties MIDI totalement indépendantes via un câble de dérivation (4 prises DIN). Un port MIDI virtuel permet une transmission directe des données MIDI via MADI.
RME utilise une mémoire de configuration pour les réglages les plus importants de la carte. Au lieu de fonctionner dans un mode par défaut à la mise sous tension de l'ordinateur jusqu'au chargement du pilote, la HDSPe MADI active la dernière fréquence d'échantillonnage utilisée, la configuration maître/esclave et le format MADI dès la mise sous tension. Cela élimine les bruits parasites et les problèmes de réseau d'horloge lors de la mise sous tension ou du redémarrage de l'ordinateur.
